Prophet Adam

According to the Quran, Allah created Adam from clay and breathed his spirit into him. Allah commanded all angels to prostrate to Adam as a mark of respect; all complied except Iblis (Satan), who refused due to arrogance.

Adam and his spouse, Hawa (Eve), were placed in the Garden of Eden and allowed to eat of everything except one forbidden tree. Deceived by Satan, they ate from it, became aware of their nakedness, and repented sincerely. Allah accepted their repentance but sent them to Earth to fulfill their role as vicegerents (Khalifah).

On Earth, Adam built the first sanctuary (Kaaba) and taught his children the worship of the one true God, agriculture, and various crafts. He suffered the loss of his son Habil (Abel), killed by his brother Qabil (Cain), marking the first murder on Earth.
