Prophet Musa

Born during a time when Pharaoh decreed all newborn Hebrew boys be executed, Musa was placed in a basket in the Nile by his mother. Discovered by Pharaoh's wife Asiya, he was raised as a prince in the royal court.

After accidentally killing an Egyptian taskmaster while defending an Israelite, he fled to Madyan. There, he married the daughter of a righteous man (often identified as Shuaib) and spent ten years working as a shepherd.

On his return, at Mount Sinai, he saw a burning bush and heard the voice of Allah, commissioning him as a Prophet. Accompanied by his brother Harun (Aaron), he returned to Egypt, confronted Pharaoh, and performed miracles (his staff turning into a serpent, his hand shining white). After Pharaoh's refusal, he led the Exodus, parting the Red Sea. He received the Ten Commandments and the Torah at Sinai.
